The visionary game developer, renowned for co-creating the globally famous first-person shooter Call of Duty, has died in a traffic collision in Los Angeles, California aged 55.

The tragic news was announced by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, a game studio he co-founded.

The renowned game designer passed away following his car crashed and caught fire on a freeway in the Los Angeles area on this past Sunday, as reported by.

"We are facing a heartbreaking loss, and we stand with Vince's family, his loved ones, and all those touched by his work," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts stated.
