The Streaming Giant Casts Ideal Performer for Mr. 2 in One Piece Third Season

The Secret Organization is poised to play a huge role in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, though the major clash won’t take place until the next season, and a cherished, audience-beloved member has recently been selected.

Netflix announced this week that the skilled actor is now part of the One Piece cast for the third season and will embody Bentham. Bon Clay has the ability to change into an perfect replica of anyone they’ve touched with their right hand. Escola, who is non-binary and goes by they/them, will depict a version of that character reinterpreted as gender non-binary, instead of as a drag performer, in the real-life adaptation, differing from the source material and animated series.

Escola will work alongside several other recently announced actors set to bring Baroque Works to life, featuring leader Sir Crocodile, brought to life by Joe Manganiello, a talented actress as a key member, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who will appear as the lineup as the monarch of the fictional land.

Even though Bon Clay is a major member of the organization, the persona won’t appear until One Piece the third season. Given the next season expected to adapt the Little Garden segment, this signals a significant shift in the timing of their first appearance, one that could suggest further changes to the narrative framework.

Escola’s blend of sharp comedic timing and profound feeling makes them a standout choice for the character. Besides their latest vocal work in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they earned widespread acclaim and numerous honors for writing and starring in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, emphasizing the range they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s widely praised roles.

The streaming service’s real-life One Piece program is due to premiere for its second season on March 10th, 2026.
