Soccer Expert Chris Sutton Faces Off Against Singer Olly Murs in Premier League Forecasts
The Gunners' 10-game victorious streak came to an end by Sunderland prior to the international break, but can the English top division frontrunners recover against local foes Spurs this weekend?
"{I believe like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a plan for this match," stated soccer specialist Chris Sutton.
"Frank will attempt to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating finest this season - but Mikel Arteta's team usually still find a way to win."
The analyst is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League games this season, versus artificial intelligence, readers and a variety of special visitors.
In week 12, he takes on singer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United supporter.
The singer's new record, the new release, is out on the weekend.
Football and Parenting Experiences
Olly is a talented footballer as well as a accomplished singer and has been a featured player of several Soccer Aid matches down the years - but he is not intending a serious comeback as a player.
"{I recently played in a benefit match the other evening for a mate of mine," he said. "My team was losing 3-1 when I was substituted in the second half, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you want!
"I continue to love football, but I hurt my knee a few years ago and it even now isn't where I want it to be. I wish I could play more but the uncertainty of the game means it's too dangerous for me in my career to do it properly again.
"Plus I am forty-one now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am gearing up for the moment that my child or boy chooses to play instead."
The singer and his wife Amelia Tank have a young family, Madison and their son, and he is prepared to follow in his father's footsteps by becoming their coach.
"I won't force football on our kids but I've already told Amelia that if they happen to get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will likely be managing their Saturday soccer team," he added.
"I observed my relatives play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I obviously owned a soccer team for a while too.
"My dad coached with us when I was a child, which is probably where I get it from. He managed our team for several seasons and had great fun with it. That might be the next step for me as well, and I am excited to it!"
Top Division Forecasts
Weekend, 22 November
- Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT
The Blues might have to be patient for Cole Palmer's comeback from fitness issues but their offense is already stronger with Pedro and Delap both back fit.
I still think this fixture will be fairly tight, though. Burnley are well organised and their sole at Turf Moor losses so far have been against the Reds and Arsenal.
It suggests a 1-1 tie to me, but I am in fact going to go with Chelsea to win narrowly for what would be their third consecutive league win in a row.
Sutton's prediction: 1-2
The singer's pick: Chelsea will be too strong. 1-3
Artificial intelligence's outlook: 0-2
- Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Cherries have lost their previous couple matches - although both of them were on the road - but they got thoroughly beaten by Aston Villa last time out which shocked me.
In contrast, West Ham won back-to-back victories before the international break and, although both of those fixtures were at home, they appear strong again.
The Hammers' sole on the road win this campaign came at Forest in August, when their boss Nuno Espirito Santo was previously Forest coach.
Therefore, what exactly do I predict here - can the Hammers continuing their run under their manager, or Bournemouth responding?
I am going to choose Bournemouth, because I believe what occurred against Villa was a anomaly.
Sutton's forecast: 2-0
The guest's outlook: Bournemouth are performing strongly but the visitors have improved under Nuno. 2-2
The algorithm's pick: 1-1
- Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Bees were considered one of the favourites for the drop before the season started, but they have impressed a several people under their manager and are in good form with three in their past four matches.
A family member advised me to get Brentford forward Igor Thiago in my fantasy soccer squad a few weeks ago and, guess what, I ignored the advice.
Thiago will probably score again on Saturday but I am nonetheless not going to select him or back the away side at Brighton's ground.
The Bees have not had great success on the road this term, and the Seagulls are consistently decent at their stadium. The visitors will attempt to attack on the break but I feel the home manager's side carry much more of a danger.
The analyst's forecast: 2-1
The singer's view: It could be a match where you think there is going to be a lot of goals but it actually proves to be rather tight. 1-1
The computer's outcome: 2-1
- Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT
It is a massive game for Fulham, who have suffered defeat in five of their past six games.
They have got lots of talent in their team but it still seems like they could be dragged into a relegation fight.
Regarding the Black Cats, indeed they are the unexpected success of the Premier League season so far.
The away side's performance in the two-all tie with the Gunners last time out was excellent. We've not seen anyone else disrupt the North London side like that this term, and they were fully competitive for them.
The sensible thing would be to back the Black Cats here, because they are obviously able of disrupting Fulham up too and, the last time they were in this part of London, they beat the Blues at the close of last month.
But I am not going to do that. Rather, I really need to continue opposing Sunderland with my forecasts. I am taking a lot of credit for their good outcomes because they clearly enjoy to prove me wrong.
Looking at the home side's home form, the sole side they have lost to is Arsenal. Marco Silva's side will be extremely desperate for a good outcome, so I am going to predict they will secure three much-needed points.
The expert's prediction: 1-0
The guest's prediction: I'm aware the visitors are doing well and additionally that Fulham are on a poor streak... but they have nonetheless been decent at Craven Cottage this campaign. 2-0
AI's outlook: 2-0
- Anfield, 15:00 GMT
This is a tough one to predict. Liverpool have suffered seven of their last ten games in every tournament, but might they be one of the teams who profit from the {international break|
