Los Angeles witnessed citywide celebrations after the Los Angeles Dodgers clinched a nail-biting seven-match World Series championship. Fans worldwide united with Angelenos in jubilation, marking the initial time in a quarter-century that a franchise has secured back-to-back championships.
Celebration Parade Draws Enormous Turnout
Los Angeles area celebrations featured a downtown parade on Monday morning, a reserved-seating event at the team's home stadium, and spontaneous parties throughout the city.
Online footage depict thousands of Angelenos packing city center avenues, many carrying homemade signs and team flags. The team was seen riding high on a open-top bus through the masses, raising the Commissioner’s trophy high.
